Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji sejarah mengenai tokoh Muhammad Ali Pasha dan bagaimana perjuangan dalam mengembangkan Islam di Mesir. bersifat kualitatif menggunakan telaah pustaka (library research) yaitu semua data-data berasal dari bahan-bahan tulisan yang berkaitan dengan masalah dibahas. Metode digunakan adalah metode deskriptif analitis memaparkan penjelasan-penjelasan bahasan materi diambil rujukan diperoleh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa orang pertama kali meletakkan landasan kebangkitan modern Ia seorang perwira berhasil merebut kekuasaan Mesir setelah tentara Perancis kembali ke Eropa pada tahun 1801 M. kemudian menjadi penguasa penuh Untuk memajukan Mesir, melakukan pembenahan bidang pendidikan, ekonomi militer. Usaha-usaha pembaharuan inilah membawa mesir menuju sebuah negara modern. Berkat jasa-jasanya, pun diberi gelar The Founder of Modern Egypt (Bapak modern). Pembaharuan lakukan hanya berupa keduniawian saja, Namun terangkatnya kehidupan dunia ummat Islam, sekaligus terangkat pula derajat keagamaannya.
